Role Overview

We’re looking for an Intercom/Fin AI CX Solutions Consultant with deep experience in Intercom setup, optimization, and AI-powered automation.

You’ll configure, customize, and maintain Intercom environments for PlementOps’ clients — ranging from funky e-commerce shops to corporate SaaS companies. You’ll collaborate directly with clients to define CX strategy and translate business requirements into clean, scalable Intercom operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, solving operational challenges, and working directly with clients. There is a clear growth path toward Intercom/Fin AI CX Solutions
Engineer
as you develop deeper technical, AI, and architectural expertise.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Key Responsibilities

  • Define CX processes with clients and design efficient, scalable CX strategy and automation logic tailored to their operations.

  • Implement and optimize Intercom workspaces, including inboxes, routing, SLAs, data structures, conversation workflows, and help centers.

  • Configure and optimize Fin AI & Copilot – content management, guidance, attributes, custom answers/tasks, and data connectors (API) with MCPs.

  • Set up and manage Proactive Support, including targeted messaging, triggers, audiences, and automation to drive proactive customer engagement or onboarding.

  • Build automation and data processes using Intercom workflows, data connectors, and Make.com where custom logic or non-standard integrations are required.

  • Integrate Intercom with external systems (CRMs, e-commerce platforms, subscription tools, etc.), learning new platforms quickly to ensure proper data flow.

  • Train and onboard client teams on newly deployed Intercom setups, ensuring smooth adoption and clear understanding of workflows and automation.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Intercom experience: workspace setup, workflows, routing, CDAs, Fin AI, data connectors (API), and outbound features.

  • API knowledge: endpoints, authentication, webhooks, and connecting systems when no native integration exists.

  • Automation tools: hands-on with Make.com, n8n, or similar no-code platforms for integrations, workflows, and data syncs.

  • Proven track record implementing or optimizing CX/support platforms with analytics and KPI tracking.

  • Solid understanding of customer support workflows, automation logic, and reporting with the ability to design scalable support systems.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into structured, efficient configurations across multiple client environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you will interact with clients daily.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SaaS, CRM, or agency-based client work.

  • Experience with other CX tools (Zendesk, Front, Aircall).

  • Additional languages.
